Who: Asian American Pacific Island (AAPI) students, faculty, and allies
What: A demonstration held to protest against AAPI hate after the assault of an Asian American student
When: April 27, 2021 from 6:00 to 7:00pm
Where: Started at Burleson Quad and ended with a silent march around campus
Why: The hateful rhetoric used surround the COVID-19 pandemic has heightened racial tensions around the world. After the exponential rise of hate crimes against Asian Americans in the US in the past year, we needed to make a stand to make our voices heard.
